How water Treatment Plant Works
Sand Filter
This process aims to reduce pollutants that are larger than 0.5 microns in size, as well as retain/filter the levels of heavy metals that have been oxidized in the previous process.
Activated Carbon
This process aims to eliminate the unpleasant odor of water and kill bacteria and bind toxins in the water, as illustrated in the case of diarrhea using norite medicine, in other words carbon powder that is smeared or molded, which aims to eliminate bacteria and attack toxins in the stomach.
Ultra Filtration ( UF )
Ultra Filtration can be used to remove particles and molecules contained in water sources that will be used as clean water. This system is used in secondary filtration. The working principle of ultra filtration is to separate molecules based on dissolved molecules. The working system is that water enters with a low pressure of approximately 1.5 bar through a membrane that has a diameter of approximately 0.5 - 2mm. Then it will be filtered with a filter that has a pore size of approximately 0.01 - 0.05 urn. Molecules that are larger than 0.05 urn will be retained and will eventually be gradually removed when back fushing or when forward flushing is carried out.
Reverse Osmosis
Reverse Osmosis System Is a raw water filtration system through a TFC (Thin Film Composite) membrane with high pressure, so that it produces pure water. The membrane, in addition to filtering chemicals (organic & inorganic) dissolved in water, also has the property of rejecting ions, viruses and bacteria contained in the water.
